Connect Revolution is now up and running! We are working on the site to make it much more than what it currently is. However, for sanity's sake, I am releasing it for all of you view. While you are at it, you can register on the site which will also register you for the forums. This will be my last post on the Revolution Rumor Blog, and it kills me to do so. However, do not fret, for all the Revolution Rumors that still float around the internet will be posted on Connect Revolution in the rumors section.

I would like to thank everyone who helped make this blog possible. While it was I whom posted every thing that you see on this site; it was through many others that I have anything on this blog at all. I won't name names, but you know who you are, thankyou for everything you have done for me.

Ok, now this last one is perhaps not real, which would make all of these fake

This may not be real because the following picture was discovered. This is most likely a picture of the box of a movie which has that woman kicking a giant rat in it.

Either way however, it would be great if these were real because that would satisfy my graphics thirst. Also, the street picture might be a God Father screen shot for the 360, I'll look around.

I don't know what to think about this one except for the fact that it is ridiculous. I mean, look at the thing. Noone in their respectable mind would take a photo of something so obscure let alone even photoshop such a thing. In all accounts, this is fake. However, believe what you will.

I am Shiang Cun, and i am simply going to make this post telling you what I know about nintendos up and coming console the revolution and i will make one more answering your questions.

I will not disclose who I am or who I work for so please do not ask.

I have only seen the revolutions controller on one occasion, and I do know some of the specs for the console but again I will not disclose this.

I do not claim I know of the revolutionary feature of the revolution, however I have seen a prototype of the controller, where by the revolutionary feature was not shown.

here is a quick drawing of what the controller looks like. The blue 'grips' are pressure sensitive and the controllers do use gyroscopic technology.

When i saw the controller, there was simply two parts to it - one for each hand, I am now led to believe nintendo have implemented a way to attach the two peices together for a more traditional experience.

I know that these two features are not the revolutionary aspect nintendo are implementing into the next generation of gaming, because I have been told this by nintendo theirselves.

NEC claimed its SX-8 is the most powerful 'vector-type' supercomputer, with a sustainable data processing speed well beyond IBM's recently unveiled Blue Gene/L supercomputer.

In September IBM said its Blue Gene/L supercomputer had surpassed NEC's Earth Simulator to become the world's most powerful supercomputer.

IBM's Blue Gene/L is capable of a sustained data processing speed of 36.01 teraflops, or one trillion floating point operations per second.

NEC said its newest SX series model has a peak processing speed of 65 teraflops and a sustainable performance of roughly 90 percent that speed or 58.5 teraflops.

The NEC and IBM supercomputers are different in structure. NEC says its SX-8, because of its vector architecture, "delivers much higher sustained performance than scalar supercomputers" like IBM's Blue Gene/L.

"We have received 100 orders so far," with the first models to be shipped to the UK's national weather forecasting service and the High Performance Computing Centre in Stuttgart, Germany, NEC managing director Tadao Kondo said.

Hello fellow gamers. Shortly before E3 a poster by the name of Aries began to start various rumors about Nintendo's next generation console, the Revolution. For about a week Aries posted on brokensaints.com, giving out "scoops" on the Revolution's features, games, and online capibility. At E3, many of Aries' predictions came true, but not enough to prove his credibility.

I was the one called Aries. Shortly before E3, IGN posted a story on Broken Saints' owner Brooke Burgess, who claimed he had a good idea on what the Revolution's "secret" function would be. After reading his post, which was claimed the Revolution would support stereoscoptic 3D, I became rather upset. It seemed me that his story was based on information that had already been disproven. Because of this I took it upon myself to create a much more realistic vision of what the Revolution could be like.

I already had many ideas about what the Revolution could be like, many of which I thought to be pretty innovative and exciting. In Broken Saint's comments forum, I proceded to share my ideas with other under the alias of Aries, a game developer working on Revolution software.

My intention of pulling this prank was to get people excited about the Revolution and Nintendo's E3 conference. I felt that the major gaming news sites were ignoring the Revolution in order to spend more time on Sony and Microsoft's machines. This bothered me. I wanted to spark the interest of gamers, not mislead them. I truly felt Nintendo was going to blow everyone away at E3 with the Revolution. But alas, it wasn't to be. Nintendo decided to spend more time showcasing Electroplankton than their next generation hardware. Although many of my predictions came true, I could not help but be disappointed overall by the E3 showing. I am sure that the Revolution will be amazing, I just think Nintendo made a mistake by not giving gamers more details early on.

So in short, I was Aries. There is no Game. If anyone was upset or offended by my actions they can talk to me anytime on our forums. I did this on my own, therefore no one else should be brought into this. Game Bunker as a site and organization had nothing whatsoever to do with Aries or my prank. I hope we can put this rather interesting piece of gaming history behind us. I look forward to Nintendo revealing more about the Revolution, and I look forward to playing the other two great next generation systems as well.

Its Really All Too Simple.

The rumors about Nintendo's newly announced console are being passed around these days like the common 'One Dollar Bill'. Not to say this is a bad thing, however, just how far does the speculation go before turning people away? Hold the phone. Speculation never does that. Why is this 'Revolution' different?
The mock-ups have become dull, and redundant. What is left of the non-discredited rumors, however educated of a guess they were, has left the watcher to think for themselves as to what the mystery is. Nintendo has yet to bring anything forward since the late E3, setting aside the few details of already confirmed specs.
A relatively new photo has sparked my personal interest as to what is ahead for 'us' to discover. We, as a whole, are waiting for any lick of information to drop from the tight grasp of the Big N's bound hands. There is only one question left to ask. Why aren't we thinking "outside the box", when it comes to our speculations?
For those of you who didn't quite catch on, the before mentioned photo was that of a poster that simply stated, "Revolution begins March 2006. Think outside the box.". The stale ideas of touch screens, gyroscopic abilities, and dual-controllers have gone on far enough. What are we going to see
in this system that will make us all say "wow", in a lovely state of awe.
With a seemingly endless ammount of information at our fingertips, ala the internet, how can we have reached our peek of creativity? Has Nintendo officially stumped the obscure minds of its loyal customers? Well, maybe it hasn't. The hype certainly hasn't died down, however, the speculation is in a checkmate position. Nintendo can choose to cut us off, or we can flip the playing table, and turn this into a 'whole different game'.
I guess i can't order a full attack on established reasoning without giving fuel. So I have found one thought that has been gnawing at the back of my mind. Why does the Revolution have a "Docking Station" exclusively for Gamecube controllers and memory cards? Can these not simply just be built into the system itself? Well there is a logical explination, as that could be considered a size issue. It still raises the question as to why they would call it a "Docking Station", that is, unless it was meant to 'move around'.
Ok, that is going a little TOO far outside of this miracle box. It's like saying Nintendo is going to throw a flip-up screen and battery somewhere into the already miniscule machine. That's more than way out there, close to an impossibility, but it's a start. The focus, in general, is on the controller. While the controller is important, it more than likely compliments the features not yet 'revealed'. Though i don't know how much longer those features can be restrained.
Just because an 'official picture' has been released, doesn't mean there isn't something left to discover inside the box that is "outside the box". If the controller were the revolutionary item in question, Sony and Microsoft would adapt quickly enough to essentially take away its selling point. The secrecy of what this system holds in store for us, can not only be with the controller, but in the device that is only 3 DVD cases in size. An item so small holds something 'so big', but what?

It's not new.
It is really all too simple.

He says that the right circle is a trackball. Because Iwata said that the controller would feature less buttons than the Gamecube this is controller is highly doubtful. Okay, I'm going to take a part out of my life to explain to you why these rumours are fake. Here goes...

Q. I loved the Nintendo ON video! It must be real!

A. The Nintendo ON is a real video, however, it was not created by engineers at Nintendo Corp. This video was created by spanish Nintendo fan Pablo Belmonte. He created this video so people could understand what games should be like. Nintendo has since then been further looking into a open job application for him.

Q. But, how can that be? There was a whole bunch of talk from a man named "Aries" about the secret unvieling of Nintendo's new console! He said that the one we were shown at E3 was fake!

A. Rest assured, the one we say at E3 was not a fake, but just the Revolution concept model. There were rumours spreading about the Nintendo ON post-E3 due to the fact that the Revo they showed us had no inners. First of all, it would be extremely expensive to keep something that early in production public, and secondly, Nintendo has not finished their final design, or their parts.

Okay, on to Aries.

After further research, I found that it is just someone tryping to lure people into believing him.

Q. But what about Gorgonbox? And the rumour about Reggie, Saturo Iwata, and Shigeru Miyamoto talking secretly through it?

A. Gorgonbox may be a viral type campaign like used with Orbis Labs (The campaign for Metroid Prime 2:Echoes), although, I don't think that Nintendo Corp.'s Spokesperson, best game concept designer, and President are secretly communicating through it. The rumour about Reggie being Aries, Saturo being VirgoGRGN, and Shigeru being LeoGRGN are false. Aries and the people helping him out are just further exploiting this lie to make more people believe. And the fact that these two new people's names conflict with the Gorgonbox just makes it obvious that it's not real. If 3 employees of Nintendo were to be secretly talking to each other, it would not be in an un-encrypripted site like Gorgonbox.com, and it would not be Nintendo three most known and powerful people.

Q. I've found out a littele tidbit about the domain "Nintendoon.com" registered to somewhere in New York. I've also heard that that's where Reggie Fils-Aime lives! Is this true?

A. No. I am not sure where Reggie lives (Although I have heard that he does live in New York), however, Nintendoon.com is registered by none other than IGN. They put up a redirector so that when you type nitnendoon.com, it will redirect to a streaming version of the Nintendo ON video.

Q. Moz La Punk posted an article about Nintendo's master plan. They said that Nintendo had been planning this system right after the virtual boy. They also said Pablo Belmonte was just a fanboy lying about creating that video, and Nintendo actually made it! Is it true?

A. This leads me to believe that Moz La Punk webmasters are the ones behind the fiasco. Pablo has proof that he created this video, and Nintendo has already clearly denied production by them. Nintendo is endorsing a different kind of gameplay with their new system, however, their new system has already been shown, and it's pretty clear that it isn't a large bulbus brain-like console.

Q. Okay, but what about Nintendo's controller? What if it is a virtual reality helmet?

A. Since we have not seen the Revo's controller yet, I can not deny that the Revolution will feature VR. However I doubt Nintendo will move back into their past failureterritory, unless they truly have a Revolutionary way of using VR with games.

Well, it appears it is a controller, however, I do not believe it is registered by Nintendo. This is all very confusing. But it appears the controller has a slider, a trackball, and haptic feedback in both the analog stick and the d-pad. I know that the comments under this post will describe it better because people are alot smarter than me at figuring patents and such out.

The buttons have been made to look less like candy, and the analogue stick has been made lower and wider.. It looks very cool. The C-Stick has been replaced, in it's place is kind of egonomic trackball, which you can control with your right finger much like a mouse. The way it was displayed in the video made it look very easy to use, but not having held the controller myself I can't really comment much further then that.
I guess you can see how this might make the emulation of the 64 a little harder. While the controller has the right number of buttons (I counted), it's going to take a while to get used to a new layout for cl***ic games.

To tell you the truth, everthying he has said seems believable to me. However, a trackball? A once used a trackball mouse a despised it. But if he is the real deal, than I am sure that Nintendo would make a trackball actually work well.

Exposing the Revolution, a new blog has appeared. This guy Steven D says he works for a third party publisher. Here is his first post.

It's about time for the truth to be told. It's about time for the lies to be squashed. It's about time some real information was released. It's about time Nintendo gave it's fans a reason to be excited, to be exhilarated, and to believe again.

Sadly, Nintendo aren't offering their fans that. Not yet, anyway. Fans have been looking to "sources", various people on the internet posting in message boards, weblogs, and IM services, claiming to work directly for, with, or indirectly with Nintendo. Many of which are rather.. shall we say.. "questionable" sources to say the least. I'm going to put an end to all of that (and yes, I realise the irony of posting in a blog whilst at the same time suggesting the others are "fakes").

In the future, I will be able to reveal details about the Nintendo Revolution. I will answer questions that you may have about the Nintendo Revolution. And I will speak only truths. For now, I will tell you about myself and how I know about the Nintendo Revolution.

I don't work for Nintendo. I work for a third party developer. I can't really tell you which, suffice to say that it has offices in Europe. That might help. Yes, I have signed a confidentiality agreement.. but I don't believe that I can be "tracked", so to speak, as long as I don't give out too much info about myself or my work. I'm just so sick of the lies that certain members of the online community are speading. It's degrading to the commited fans of Nintendo that follow the information "leaks" (the most notable of whom are the members of the Moz La Punk weblog forums, who have tentativly name all of this the N-Game... yes, I have enough free time to follow message boards).

Yes, I have seen the controller. Whilst it was only a prototype, we've been told that it's very close to the final design. The only changes would most likely be cosmetic.. I have not held, or felt the controller. I have been shown a demonstration of it, and have read docu.mentation on it's operation and functions. For the sake of dramatic buildup of tension, I'm not going to explain it in full in my first entry, there's no point. There is more to the Revolution then just the controller, trust me.

I think I should leave this post at that much. It's late, and I have job to go to tomorow morning. Keep an eye on this address, and don't believe everything you read (that is of course, unless you read it here).

What your about to hear will most likely not go so well for you, but its gotta get out there, right now.

I love nintendo, and so does Brooke and Matt. Me and him have are connections to Nintendo (IGN). We had an idea of marketing the revolution by word of mouth becuase Nintendo was going to be so secretive about the revolution. Little did we know it would become so big.

Your a part of what makes the revolution so revolutionary (well, besides the system itself). The marketing was planned out before the revolution was even seen. Brooke (A.K.A) Aries was the first to start it by saying he knew something about the revolution. He then got IGN (Me and Matt) to post the article up on are site, so that lots of people would see it. He then named himself Aries, and proceded to tell all about the revolutionary features. I'm sure you know this, but He then said that something huge would happen on May 19th. everybody automatically thought about E3, but little did they know that a little lost_revolution was created.

We did not know it would spread so fast. Millions of fakers were spreading false info around, and it made the revolution a very hot topic. I was going to start in june, but there were to many fakers, so I had to wait intill everything kinda died down.

Gamefaqs was always a personal favorite of mine, and it was the first to come to mind when brooke pitched the idea to me and Matt. I started to make all the clues add up, like lost_revolution=dreamcast, skiesof wonder=skies of arcadia MMORPG, and many more.

Cube-mapping is always a good possiblity for the revolution, and so is the falcon technology for the controller. The NGB=revolution thing was just made up by me, but boy, now that I think about it, a system that small with a screen and a projector would be awesome.
most of my words do come from true specualtion, and do not be suprised if some of it comes true.

I'm sorry if I made any of you guys mad or frustrated. Dont get mad at me, brooke came up with the idea. I know you guys had fun, and I'm open to answer any questions you have about the revolution on my AOL account. But, This is most likely the last time you will see my Lost_revolution account.

Hey guys got some big info., sorry if you've already read it, but I just got the ability to post topics again. Anyway, my mom works at EB and recieve ceartain info. from Nintendo to tell ceartain customer's about the console if they want to know, because they just recieved a picture of the Revo. Here is what all it said... the Revo will be built to bring the console industry a little farther away from home. You guessed it, it will have a detachable screen. However, it stated they weren't 100# sure it would be packaged with the system, because they wanted to keep the console as cheap as possible. They also stated that the controller issue will be fixed with several new feature to hit the console industry, the major one being touch screen technology. It stated that playing your old console games won't be a problem at all, with the touch screens images of the buttons of all the past systems and several new games to be released will be as easy as clicking on the corresponding buttons in the choices of over 50 buttons. It also stated that there will initially be only one console color, black, but will later be several different colors.

Well, this is the most believable thing I've heard. It also supports Gameinformers story.

Hi Everyone I feel that it is time to reveal myself and who I am.

I always wanted to work for Nintendo when I was a kid. I grew up playing their games since I was 8. First Nintendo game I played Karate Champ. Loved it. Then I played Super Mario Bros. and couldnt stop until I beat Bowser. I have owned every Nintendo Console except the Virtual Boy.

I do not work for Nintendo. I am sorry. I used to be in the United States Military. I have served in both the United States Air Force as well as the US. Army as an Intelligence Analyst.

I am currently in Marketing. Internet Marketing. I have been researching the Revolution for the last couple of years. Following its every move. Using my skills I have learned in intel to do my research. Using my marketing skills to write these threads to generate hype. The information I have given all of you pictures, specs, etc. is what I have compiled based off this extensive research.

In intel you often have to distinguish between what is real or not. What is of value and what is bogus. The info I have given you was my best guess based on what we know, patents file, financial reports, etc.

Why did I do this you ask. Well I always wanted to work for Nintendo since I was a kid. Originally I wanted to be a game tester, then designer, and eventually I just wanted to run the Nintendo of America. It was a kids dream.

I started noticing how I felt Nintendo was being mismanaged. My first worries came when the N64 was overhyped and under delivered. It was supposed to be what I hope the Revolution will be. As powerful as a Silicon Graphics Workstation. Ultimately it did not deliver and I remember being disappointed with the console. Some games were fun but I really enjoyed my Playstation though I pumped money into my N64 just because I was loyal to Nintendo and still loved their first party games.
The Gamecube continued this trend. It lost more marketshare than the N64 did and I new Nintendo did not have the right people in the front office.

You see I am a Fanboy in the sense however I can look at things objectively and say wait a minute things are not so good in Nintendo land. I love Nintendo's First Party games but as I saw their marketshare dwindle I grew concerned.

They are constantly getting outmarketed by Sony and Microsoft. It is the Perception that Microsoft and Sony generate. When Microsoft claimed that Nintendo was a cute little purple system designed for kids Nintendo did not come back to slam them. Where was the marketing team there.

Nintendo's Kiddy image is owed to its competitors creating that illusion as much as Nintendo letting them do it. Nintendo could of easily struck back with the right people in place.

I started to notice the Fanboys of Nintendo shake and quiver in the forums. They loved the console but were getting owned and ragged on by Sony and Microsoft Fanboys. Nintendo once again created the wrong perception by stating our console will be 2-3 times more powerful than the Gamecube. Only to back track these statements.

These were not smokescreens but marketing mistakes. These were not designed to mislead Sony and Microsoft but were blunders.

I saw this and was not going to let Nintendo get its Arsse Kicked anymore. I would use my past expertise to drive up hype. I knew how to do it and I would.

Because every Nintendo Fan deserves it. I wont give you my real name because I dont want you to know it. This wasnt for my attention. I just want Nintendo to kick arsse again.

For once to deliver what it did in the 8bit and 16bit days.
In a recent Nintendo Forum post, SeriousGamer007 stated he actually knew nothing about the Revolution. Here is his post:

I thought if I could drive up hype maybe it would make a change. Maybe Nintendo will deliver the ultimate console again like they did with the NES and the Super Nes and what they promised with the N64.

The new information (through e-mail):
I believe these specs were leaked some time ago but never confirmed
or denied. The most exciting part of the spec for me aside from the
ability the make custom game and overlay old code mechanic is the 3
PPU’s this is all new tech done in a new way. The way it works is,
is that each PPU has a different job on the physical side of
processing. One is for environmental physics, one for rigid body
(external) physics, and another for anatomical (internal) physics.
This gives IBM the power to a sacrifice a huge fraction of horsepower
that say PS3 has by doling out the instructions to the PPU’s and frees
up needed processing power at any given time. They also have patented
as you guys know a technique called “cube-mapping” which has been
being worked on and perfected ever since right after the launch of
the Gamecube. To my knowledge Nintendo wanted to aggressively pursue
the technique in hopes of being able to match and even theoretically
exceed PS3 Cell technology without having to build enormous
horsepower into the machine that would make the machine just as
expensive as PS3. My only worry with cube-mapping is since Nintendo
patented it if they will make it available to other developers that
are interested in Rev. rather than just using it on first-party
development. There are a lot of other techniques and that are
patented by Nintendo that allow unbelievable graphics on low
horsepower and low electrical consumption but the question still
stands are Nintendo going to make these available to other 3rd party
developers.
I didn’t work for IBM and I’m not an archi but I heard loose talk
that the components inside the Rev. are a giant form of
Nanotechnology. Instead of actually going for nano which would
skyrocket the price to $6,000 or more they have married all of the
hardware very close together and formed what is basically one huge
dedicated functioning unit. Doing this increases speed, lowers power
consumption, and reduces price.
To my knowledge a LOT of developers were jumping on the bandwagon to
develop for Rev. even before I was let go. There were Namco, Konami,
Zoonami, EA, Activision, Ubisoft, Epic, Criterion, Bioware, believe it
or not but a representative for Bungie was also there as well as even
Rockstar N. I also heard that Nintendo is demanding exclusitivity
for many of them. On the note of Bungie however there was a lot of
small talk at the office about how the exclusive right on Bungie with
Microsoft had just ended and they were looking to sign another
contract with possibly Nintendo because Microsoft is forcing the
development process on Halo 3 to coincide with the PS3 launch. And
of course my old stomping ground Retro Studios where I worked on the
texture-mapping and visor effects for both Metroid Prime games, those
guys are also working on another Metroid Prime game as we speak. I
still have a lot of friends there who still call me and ask advice
and make small talk. Next week I will join the Factor 5 team and get
assigned to whatever they assign me to.
Now I don’t think this has been made public just yet maybe in Japan
but wouldn’t hold my breath. But I know for a fact that the DVD
emulator for the Rev. you know the internal attachment, will not only
be able to platy standard DVD’s but will also allow you to play HD-DVD
and believe it or not BLU-RAY DVD’s also. This leads me to believe
that Nintendo feels they will strongly need to compete with Sony in
the HD market, and this in my opinion will be the ideal consumer
medium to do so. I don’t know how they will absorb the price maybe
$150 or so for the emulator. But that’s just my price thought, I
don’t think they would retail it for anymore than that if they hope
to sell it. But I do know that for an actual fact.
Don’t get me wrong I love Nintendo and in my opinion they are doing
something truly mind-blowing for they’re next console. By the way I
read the post about the Rev. stand being a recharger of sorts and
that’s absolutely right!!!!!!!! By the way to end all of the
CONSTANT flames and bs on your forum about the “Nintendo On”. IT IS
NOT FAKE, it’s the new Virtual Boy (of sorts, will be an add-on for
Nintendo’s “Project Reality”) and it WILL work hand-in-hand with the
Rev. although it will not be required to play games. It will just
add a whole new dynamic to the games coupled with the controller.
The guys who made it finished it in a month and a half on a Area 51
CPU. I thought it was funny people thought that it was made in a
week by one person, what a joke if one did all that it would’ve
probably taken 6 months or so.
The custom game-making and overlay coding mechanic is also a new
addition to the home console market. It is not easy to explain or
even understand on paper rather then actually seeing in action but
I’ll do my best. Nintendo is offering the dev. Tool to take full
advantage of the hardware’s power it is a combination of everything
the 64DD had to offer in a more simplistic user-friendly way. You
can take any game for example and say there is something you didn’t
like about it or some mechanic that you might want to use in that
game that the developers didn’t offer. It allows you to change that
or add or take away everything from mechanics, sound effects,
textures, incorporate different art styles as you see fit. It
simultaneously gives the consumer and developer large or small the
power to realize their own masterpiece. Whether it’s a game that
borrows mechanics or something that is completely new. At the start
it gives you a smorgasbord of choices from what genre, or you don’t
have to have a genre you could give each and every character in your
game his or her own art style, or portray different characters in
whatever resolution you want.
The system itself features a built-in mic with voice distortion
features so you can do your own voice-over work if you want or you
can also opt to let the AI chips do it for you. This is probably my
favorite feature on the Rev. simply because it has sooo many options.
My creative director told us at Retro that they might even get
permission from Epic and John Carmack to let Nintendo incorporate
their new engines into the dev. Tool however I don’t know if this is
actually going to happen but if so that would be great. With this
feature alone it could literally cripple Sony and Microsoft
next-generation. Because developers will see that Nintendo is
offering an enormously better package and flexible development
process, which over anything else is what publishers and producers
want. Low development cost and top-quality gameplay and cinematics.
Now it would be possible to work with the dev. Tool in your spare time
and theoretically create the best game of all time. Although it is
not plausible because masterpieces usually have hundreds of people
working on them and it takes years to fully realize a game like that,
but with enough time the consumer itself can begin to create their own
gaming universe.
I think it would be great if Nintendo somewhere along the line gave
people the option to show the own independent games off and possibly
win awards and maybe even start their own franchises. That in itself
for me would be a true revolution. What the dev. Tool has going for
it is, is that it is extremely easy to use and pick up but it can get
as in-depth and articulate as you want it to be. I also know for a
fact that Nintendo will be offering online free and unfree upgrades
to the dev. Tool through Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection as the years go by
and games get more sophisticated. This will help the Rev. and its
biggest feature to grow with the times and generations. The actual
body assembly is of course not even close to being final but I can
assure you that the prototype shown at E3 press conference is what
the dev. Tool and virtual back-library will be housed in. That will
snap into place in the actual machine so you will be able to take it
with you, it is also the systems battery which is rechargeable of
course.

But, this is not all. Moz La Punk had contact with ANOTHER source. Another one? Yes. This person claims he's working on an exclusive game for the Revolution, and he says everything this Ace/Sam guy says, and Osoko and Aries too for that matter, is rubbish. Here's what he had to say:
"I can tell you one thing about the controller. There wont be just two parts, but actually three parts that you can put together. Two left-sides and one right-side. The right side will have the a, b, x, y buttons, while the two left parts will have either a d-pad och a stick. You play the NES and SNES games with the first version obviously, if you want to that is. I can also tell you that it will in fact NOT have any microphone, or any heatsensors.

What I can say about the console itself is that it will be if not as good as PS3 and XBOX360, better, because of better structure. Haven't you ever wondered how the Revolution can be out so soon? Can they really make games in that short amount of time? Well, to be honest, it's extremely easy to code for. While you might work for 10 hours coding something for PS3 or XBOX360, you don't even need half that time to code something for Revolution. It's awsome!

We are not allowed to bring cameras with us to our work, but if I could, I would show you a picture of what the dev-kit looks like (it's butt-ugly). But, ofcourse, it's just the beta version so far. The final dev-kit is coming sometime in august, and that will probarbly be even easier to code for than the beta and alpha versions."

Update: This new source has spoken again:
"I want to tell you about the game we are working on. It's a totally new game. It's a mix of RPG and FPS, and it will use the controller to the maximum (the controller does have some cool features, but I can't reveal any of them yet). It will set place in a future that has never been seen before. The graphics are just stunning, and so are the engine it's running on. Did you see Sony's pressconferanse at E3? Did you like what the PS3 was able to do? The Revolution will be able to do that, AND MORE! And this is something we are using alot. You will see some stuff that has never been seen before. Well, lets see... The only way to prove it is to leak the pis and who know if it can hurt Nintendo. I doubt it because you cannot copy an entire engineering and technical layout simply from a picture of a prototype. They would have to know how everything works inside to copy it completely. I mean, they could always copy the outside shell but that would be pointless. Plus Microsoft doesn't have the time to copy it now. My job will be fine though, I am at another cpu now. I basically am going to different electronic retailers and asking if I can try out their computers and doing this from there. After its leaked of course Nintendo will throw a fit but there are A LOT of people in the industry to look into, they have about a 1 billion in 1 chance of catching me if I play my cards right. For all they will know I could be in any country, at any cpu, and any of the hundreds of people that have access to the controller or have even seen Nintendo's NDA explanation of it. Okay, went down the strip to Circut City and the manager finally left so I can do this. I don't know whether I should leak the pics from a retailer or hotspot. I'm kind of sketchy about the retailer since they have so many cameras around. But the pics aren't some ya know 3.6 gigapixel quality shots I just took them w/ a regular old digital camera (I hate photoshop). We're actually not supposed to have cameras in the workstations but I have my ways so to speak. Everything I mentioned from the controller standpoint those pictures back up. Haptic force feedback, ability to feel digital depth, heat/cool sensors, gyroscopic and built-in mic. Everything about the Revolution hardware itself I have no way of proving until it is confirmed. Okay, this will be my last post for tonight cause after this I’m going home. Nintendo fans have never been left wanting in the graphics department and next-gen will be no exception. As I said before because of the depth-composited-Cube-mapping dedicated to the hardware it WILL have the best graphics next-generation. The quad-core processor isn’t like other multi-core designs the cores have the ability to completely work together ( basically together forming one giant core) eliminating the need to program code for multiple cores. The processor and graphics chipset will be married together as one unit also, this has never been done before. It will also have the ability to map millions of textures on one polygon with little cpu power. Please read my e-mails to steven miller to get a more in-depth explanation. I will send Moz a more detailed desciption of the hardware soon also so he can post it here. Anyway, I’m tired and am heading home. I’ll be back tomorrow. Take care.

Well, as to Aries he obviously wan't real because he said on May 19 there would be a "showstopper"at E3 and nothing happened. And after E3 everything stopped. So I'd say its crap. I dobt this would hurt Nintendo though, as I said before you can't copy the controllers engineering from a pic of a prototype. Which would take a LONG time to do and also a lot of money. I never saw any hologram come out of the controller, maybe they just didn't show that to our studio yet. I really have seen that as of yet. Take care.

A lot of people were layed off by NOA. So they will have A LOT of people w/ motive I might add to look into if they will actually try and prosecute. Which I don’t think will happen, they will either probably deny its confirmation or give a cease and desist to any and all sites that host the pics. But aside from that theres really not a lot they can really do once its leaked. I mean going after an unknown for a leak it like finding a needle in haystack, it takes a lot of time and a lot of money. Which in turn will be diverted from focused marketing, preperation of the Revolution’s launch, and all kinds of things that take up much of Nintendo’s time. So they will really have to make a decision, whether they want to put all resources into uncovering the leak or just sucking it up and roll with it. Just releasing and slightly tweaked version of what I’ll leak and just play it off is what they’ll probably do. Now like I said before all components inside the hardware are in my opinion just a giant-sized form of nanotechnology as they have almost every component inside the machine married together, to achieve great power with little power consumption and little to no heat dissapation. Now as I said before the quad cores DO have the ability to multi-task but the also have the ability to completely work together or use combination without taking huge amounts of time to write code for all of them. I cannot for my own protection and reasons I can’t reveal right now leak the pics until this coming week. So everything I say until then you’ll just have to take at face value. Yes, I am the one who sent those e-mail to “Dragon_Warrior”. Everything said there is true based on what I have seen and my time with the hardware. Other than me leaking the pics though there’s really no way to “prove” anything up until that point. After I leak them you of course won’t see anymore of me though. My thoughts on HD are that since Nintendo will be releasing there Project Reality add-on (visor component similar to the Nintendo ON) it will be presented in HD anyway and will support all of Nintendo’s games. So I don’t really see a reason for HD if they’re going to offer that. I believe that Nintendo will release and confirm certain aspects of the Rev. this Sep. and at Spaceworld. I don’t see a launch until October 2006 though. That’s all I know though. Take care.

Retro Studios is working on a game code-named Xenias which is supposed to be a “halo-killer”. It is supposedly to be about a living battle suit. I have seen a demo of it and it looks to be an awesome game. I also know for a fact that the new Zelda for the Revolution is being created by Shigeru Miyomoto and will be a chronicological sequel to Ocarina of time and Majora’s Mask. But from what I’ve played from the exclusive insider demo of Twilight Princess( the version the public hasn’t seen). It looks to take the crown of game of the year. From what I have seen it takes things like context-sensitive cut-scenes and action-sequences that made RE4 and God of War so good and expands on them in-game and in cutscene. Also Link will be WAY more brutal in this game. Not a lot of people know this but a lot of the combat and gameplay engine has been completely revamped for this entry. The version I play in one sequence Link was hoping from his horse to other riders’ bores and such and if you fire an arrow into the boar and you can lock-onto your horse Link will leap off the boar and back onto his horse before the boar crashes to the ground and the action continues. Another sequence I played was Link can ride up along side another enemy stab his sword through the enemy and throw that enemy into another one riding somewhere else on the field. The lock-on mechanic is now capable of locking-on to multiple enemies at once and then the combat engine switches to a free-form combat style similar to “Price of Persia: warrior within” if you’ve locked on to 4 enemies or more. As to the projector if its on Stereoscopic 3-D and say someone walks into the door of the room your in nothing will happen except the picture might warp a little in that area or fade into a hallway but as soon as the door closes again it should correct itself. But if your on the road or in a car or something I don’t think you will be able to use the stereoscopic 3-D projection because the stand is what gives it the desired angle and I would imagine that it would make the picture or holograms skip or have weird picture flashes as the car moves up and down. You will need a steady non-moving surface for the projector to use stereoscoping properly. As to Bungie I really don’t know whether they are going to sign a contract with Nintendo or not but there was some loose talk from their rep. that it might be a possibility. By the way Microsoft DOES NOT flat out own Bungie, they made Bungie sign a contract to give half creative rights and royalties to Microsoft for a “number of years”, but after those years are over they can opt to make another contract with them or go somewhere else. Now I truly doubt that Halo 3 will be coming to the Rev. since Microsoft would throw a HUGE hissy fit about it but maybe Halo 4 or an original game I hope. Their rep. said that since Microsoft is forcing the development on Halo 3 to match PS3’s launch. They will probably end up releasing a Halo2.5 instead of an actual sequel and that Rev. might see the fully realized Halo 3 a year or so later. But of course nothing is set in stone and it could all change so don’t get your hopes up too high this was just my team talking to a representative from Bungie.

The Rogue Squadron game I’m working with now we is focusing on giving the flying combat more hi-res action and depth with great replay value, but also trying to flesh out the on-foot missions that the last game failed on. As for Retro Studios they have two teams which are working on two games right now Metroid Prime: Reborn, and Xenias. I was hoping that Xenias was going to be kept a secret but unfortunately Nintendo let that out of the bag. Needless to say it will no doubt put Rev. in the top spot next-gen. I’m not going to say anything else about it though because I believe some things just shouldn’t be spoiled. Anyway I will keep in touch if you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

P.S. To those who wanted me to sketch out the controller I would love to but I’m just not a good artist and I wouldn’t do it any justice. A concept of the concept photo has already been leaked somewhere it is the “nesvolution” one pad for each hand with weighted gyroscopes, hot and cold sensors, depth-mapping and haptic feedback. Once again that is a VERY early prototype of the finished product and Nintendo is working on a way to connect them at will with a magnetic lock if someone just doesn’t like using them without a two-handed base setup.

UPDATE: I believe Nintendo is still wrestling as to whether or not to include the stereoscopic 3-d option in the Rev. hardware or bundle it w/ the Rev. as a separate component. There are advantages to each option though. One the one hand if they include it in the main hardware you could use it anywhere and take it with you without having to haul something else around. On the other hand if the do bundle it you can use it anywhere in the room your playing in which would not be dictated by where you Rev. console is sitting. That’s what I’ve heard anyway. Take care.

The AI chips & the custom physicsX chips will be VERY small custom chips w/ dedicated jobs. These are crucial to the dev. Tool and are done to Nintendo’s specifications making them relatively inexpensive. Anyway, someone wanted me to elaborate on that. This was made 2 days after I received the Rev. alpha development kit at my workstation. The last time I got my hands on it was Friday when I took the pics. Hello all,

I have received an updated version of the Rev. dev. Kit at my workstation two days ago and I am proud to announce that everyone even Microsoft and Sony fan boys may very well be switching sides when everything is confirmed. I do not necessarily agree with Nintendo strategy in the next-gen war because I believe that competition is what keeps everyone honest and fresh and willing to push the boundaries. Nintendo’s next-gen plan according to what I have seen from the new dev. Kit is that they are aiming to create a single dominant console from a consumer and developer standpoint. First I will go into the questions about cube-mapping: is it really that great, hasn’t it already been done before, is and how will the Rev. use it? Well, cube-maps have been around for quite some time but they are not very similar at all to the technology Nintendo patented called “cube-mapping” it is a new revelation and step forward for all game development to come. The patent Nintendo filed calls for the games graphic designers to pre-render the entire game environment of the whole game along with the NPC’s pretty much everything except the main interactive character/characters and basically converts it to real-time gameplay with no graphical fidelity loss whatsoever and allows a completely dynamic camera. The word “cube-mapping” stands for basically converting pre-rendered to real-time in an instant. This technique is actually dedicated to the hardware along with many other techniques that aid in this being accomplished. The dev. process on the Rev. is a revolution in and of itself in my opinion simply because of the cube-mapping and AI chips that help extensively with working out bugs to creating a world based of concept photos without a huge team and high production costs. In example a premiere game on the Rev. might cost $5 million on the Rev. and cost $80-100 million on 360 or ps3 at the exact same graphical fidelity. By the way my team at factor 5 is NOT committed only to ps3 but all consoles. Of course certain games will be exclusive to certain systems but the Rogue Squadron game that I’m working with will be multi-platform. Next generation also will represent the end of the straight port, every system next-gen will be special at something and that version will allow something completely different than the others. I believe this will become rule of thumb next-gen.
The dev. Tool that will be available to the consumer will not be an actual dev. Kit that will require programming to realize a game. It will draw on the virtual console as a basis for game-editing and creating from scratch brand new experiences based on old-game mechanics, graphical art styles and environment. It allows one to stripe away a previous game world to the basics and start new while implementing anything you want. It is hard to describe until you see it in action but rest assured it IS real and will be an astonishing feature that will make Rev. one of a kind. With the spec alone without the addition of dedicated cube-mapping just pushing polys the Rev. will be about a quarter more powerful than the 360 at its highest graphical limit. And w/ cube-mapping implemented it WILL exceed PS3’s fidelity through lower spec although it is a cheat it is effective nonetheless. Oh, and a couple new SSB characters will be from what I’ve heard, Link with the Fierce deity mask will be an unlockable and pikmin with olimar,
Now for the controller the way the two pads will be connected will be through a magnetic lock where you put one piece into another with magnets inside and the magnets lock them together. Then to release the two pads you will hold down a small button and twist them and they will come back apart. Everything about the controller I mentioned is 100% true they will feature depth mapping, haptic force feedback, weighted gyroscopes, a built-in mic and heat/cool sensors. All combine to create a very impressive experience, by the way if “Wintry_Flutist” is really Reggie Fils-Aime ask him he knows. Another feature that has been dedicated to the Rev. hardware is a technique called “texture-synthesis” whereas it allows developers to create VERY true to life, up close and personal textures and lighting. Where developers used to have to tile the same texture over a huge area of the environment and then wrap that repetitive texture to the gray map and then light it. It now allows the texture to be a part of the gray map with little effort thanks to the dedication of the technique and coupled with the cube-mapping. By the way, the ON video was created in partnership with Nintendo no matter what anyone says, but the technology being that vid is VERY real and will be included as a peripheral for Rev. I got the miserably cool experience to get one of my Japanese friends to let me get another look at the game Ichi the Killer and the playable part that I played really shows in a horrible way what the controllers will do. In the sequence some guy name Kakeehara I think I spelled it right was torturing a man while holding his hand in a bath-tub filled with hot-oil. The trick was to keep him from having a heart-attack by “talking to him kindly” with the mic on the controller. You would place either his arms or legs or sit him down in the oil and you could feel the force feedback from his body twitching as he apparently was minutes from going into shock from the pain. You would move one of the pads in a slapping motion to wake him back up and talk to him “gently” to try and get his heartbeat down so you could interrogate him more. The object of that sequence was to keep him alive and in pain for as long as possible and to get needed info out of him. It was THE MOST disgusting thing I have ever seen but truly magnificent in the way it was executed through the controller features. I have doubts about it being released in the U.S. or anywhere else for that matter because it will most definitely be getting an Adult Only rating.
Mr. Iwata has already begun to lead into revealing that through the dev. Tool the Rev. will allow the entire back library of old games to be redone independently by the consumer to offer an infinite replay value through the dev. Tool and controller features. He has already stated that Rev. will “enhance” old games just wait and see if I’m not right about how much it really will enhance the games. Just keep your ears and eyes open. As a developer I am excited about Rev. but also see that if Nintendo does in the next-gen take back market dominance like it is trying to do that will be the end of competitive game development in a way. So I kind of hope that at least one of the other companies stays in the business to keep us all honest and competitive and always innovating in some way. Because without competition the only people who lose in the end are the consumers. Right now I am hard at work on the 360 version of a game and even though I as a consumer would prefer a Rev. version I am proud of the work I am doing on the version that I am working on. I grew up as a kid on Nintendo’s products and I think in the end Nintendo will probably be the last in the business and will survive anything. It is nice to see that all you people on the forum appreciate all the work they have done through the years and video games’ rise in general. Stay well and we’ll be in touch.

The #7P5-NR21 controller prototype I worked with had a rechargable lithium ion battery which lasted about 10-15 hours give or take. The controller would have to be a lot bigger if it were to use batteries. It was similar to the GBAsp recharger slot where you plugged the charger into the side of the left pad while they are connected and you can still play while charging. Just thought I'd clear that up. Other than that I mean from what I’ve seen everything included in those e-mails are what the Revolution will be that I have seen anyway. Obvisiously, the guy who posted the last lengthy read is the one who dosent know what the hell hes talking about. They have been using dual cores for years having them work together as one core. So the wh9ole thing about "quard core I don't believe it" is done. I never said it was nano I actually specified that it wasn't nano. Just the basic ideal of compacting the hardware close together to drop heat and increase performance is what I related to nanotechnology. So that is now done also. He also needs to go back and read the patent on cube-mapping before saying certain that make him look like an idiot. Just something to chew on in the mean time I have a quote that I think sums up this years biggest speculation the Nintendo Revolution and all the hype surounding it. "The late 1960's was a very special place and time to be a part of. Right now i am reading all the response on this site.
I don't understand why the people want all the information right now.You all must be patience.
The Revolution will be tech heavy in terms of gameplay.
The Revolution games are not only 5 million$$$
But a lot more between the 10 and 25 million$$ If you want to get 100% of the Revolution. Still the Revolution will be way cheaper than ps3 and xbox 360 to make games. The final dev.kits are arriving in mid july.
Then they will make short demo's for the unveiling of the Revolution in the last week of August.
Nintendo is considering a spaceworld unveiling or at www.ign.com with a press conference.
Nintendo will be ready in 2006 right after the ps3.
Nintendo is very confident in the Revolution.
They are making also short games like donkey kong jungle beat and Yoshy Touch & Go. Miyamoto wants to do short games on the Revolution because he feels people don't have enough time to play games.
He wants to do also big epic games to satisfy the core gamers. There will be a lot more games like Electro Plankton and Nintendogs. Games never been seen before and played. This time Nintedno will be very agressive against competition. Developers are not going to support only one console this time but all of them. They fear monopoly. The performance of the Revolution will be way faster than xbox 360 and ps3. Because of the cpu. The ps3 and xbox360 don't have good architecture that's why their performance is lower than the Revolution.
Nintendo has built the Revolution with innovation and performance in mind. Not to have just the most powerfull console. The graphics will be indeed the most beautifull thanks to cube mapping and the physicsprocessor.

Official Name: NintendoRS (The Nintendo Revolutionary Screen)

The revolutionary controller is quite an innovative and creative idea. The NintendoDS offers a great hint at the contoller, but the chances of anyone figuring it out are minimal because neither a dual screen or a traditional touchscreen will be used for the Revolution. The best leak so far has been the gyroscopic control rumor. This is the one! But, how will it be used? That's the key to the Revolution's very simple, fun, creative, and practicle, revolutionary controller.

My first comment is going to throw many people off, but I must tell you, continue reading! The Revolution will be the first to use a new innovative style of "touchscreen" technology. The touchscreen is one and the same with your television screen. The gyroscopic controller is very much like a pair of gloves, but not your traditional thought of a glove either. It's extremely comfortable and has gyroscopic controls. It will sense the movement of your hands and your finger tips. This way you can point and tap your fingers into the thin air in front of you as if you were touching the television screen. You're no longer sitting in front a monitor you're now interacting with it by "touching" it!

It's hard to imagine at first without seeing it, but the more you think about it the clearer the picture becomes. Before starting a game you must collaborate the controller to your position of viewing. You do this by a very simple system of "touching" the approapriate corner of your screen when prompted from where you are sitting. Also you must select which hand (right or left) will be the "control hand". Control schemes that tradititionally use buttons will transfer over to the NintendoRS (NRS) by assigning the task to finger taps. There are 10 buttons, one for each finger tip and thumb. Games that traditionally use analog control sticks will now use the movements of your hands. The best way to describe it is to explain how it would control a First Person Shooter (FPS). The "home" position is to keep your hands parallel in front of you. To control an FPS is as follows:

- To turn to your left move your right hand forward (towards the screen) and your left hand back (away from the screen).
- To turn to your right move your left hand forward (towards the screen) and your right hand back (away from the screen).
- To look up move control hand up (towards the sky) and opposite hand down (towards the ground).
- To look down move control hand down (towards the ground) and opposite hand up (towards the sky).
- To move forward extend index finger of control hand and "hold"
- To move backward extend middle finger of control hand and "hold"

This is an example of how basic controls from traditional style games will translate to the NRS. As you can see, nothing in terms of control will be lost and everything from todays traditional style will still be possible. The very interesting thing about the NRS is the software that is specifically designed to utilize this control. The number of possibilities this kind of 3D hand motion with finger tap controls allows is near infinite and absolutely amazing. I'll give you a couple of small examples not to reveal too much, but maybe in a certain game you will be held at gun point by an officer of the law and have to reach for the sky. The finger tip gyroscopes can sense their position relative to eachother as well as the console. This allows you to "grip" objects such as a pistol and use the index finger to "pull" the trigger. This with it's feedback (each fingertip can vibrate and the palms can vibrate as relative to the objects you "touch") is an experience so unique, so new, so innovative, so EXTREMELY KICK ASS, that I can't contain myself and must leak this. (NOTE: With these kind of sensor technology Nintendo is experiementing with allowing you to "grip" a "virtual controller" relative the game you are playing (NES,SNES,N64,GCN,NRS). Nothing can beat it. Traditional controllers are on their way out because touching is good, but feeling is better!

Ltd.'s president, Saturo Iwata, revealed that the company's next generation game console, code-named Revolution, would be able to wirelessly output to multiples televisions. He went on to explain that this would, "add an exciting, new element to multiplayer games," and would, "give developers a tool to deliver creative and fun gaming expierences."

Iwata revealed that Nintendo co-developed this technology with wireless solutions expert Broadcom. While Iwata did not go into any specifics about implementation of this technology, it seems that the Revolution will be able to output different images to different devices. Theoretically, then, the Revolution could allow players to play games in rooms other than that which the Revolution is in, or have multiplayer games with each person at a different TV, but playing the game on the same Revolution. However, all of this is currently nothing more than speculation. Nintendo's cryptic comments could easily mean something entirely different.

At May's E3 event, Saturo Iwata commented that the Revolution will fundamentally change the way in which controller, console, television and wifi interact. Could this new innovation from Nintendo be the change Iwata had in mind? Maybe. We will have to wait and see until more information is released.

Andrew has been working on numerous ship designs for Samus' ship... including the inside of it! This gives a little more weight to the idea you will fly from point to point on different worlds, as some people have speculated.

I have recieved a new email from the Revolution Engineer, A.K.A 19D.O.R.Evolution:

this is what i saw in japan:

the controller prototype i've used was a single piece
conventional-shaped one with a rather large plain
rectangular space in the middle of the butterfly design
portion. the rectangle was made of semi-transparent
plastic that at first look resembled polycarbonate but it
has a slightly gummy surface.it had conventional buttons
and stick and a microphone too.just a bad shaped
unfinished prototype assembled only to show us how it
worked.

during the bowling demo the hologram of a little bowling
ball appeared just a two or three centimeter below the
plastic surface and came up a half centimeter above, just
like it was emerging from the water.
then a japanese engineer told me to take aim using the
conventional controls or built-in gyroscopes (two in-line
- left and right side for dual feedback) and to blow on
the ball in order to make it fly into the tv screen. i did
it and the that ball had an acceleration mouvement toward
the big plasma screen, being holographically displayed
above the plain surface until it reached the front edge of
the same, then disappeared from the controller and almost
instantly re-appeared bigger on the tv screen and
...strike.
the acceleration curve of the object was calculated on the
noise level recorded by the microphone a bit like it is on
the nintendo ds, but, i think, in a more sophisticated
way.
obviously it was only a demo controller setup with several
features not yet implemented for example those regarding
tactile control and haptics.
the holographic projector features a very cheap high
resolution lcd holo-display developed in japan by nintendo
with the help of sharp using licensed nasa technology.
several arrays of smd high-bright white leds (gallium
nitride/indium-gallium nitride) under the above-mentioned
very thin display provide holographic projection of 3d
shapes in the air.

think about the ability to visualize items, characters,
and other objects or simply a control panel, and change,
swap,select and other actions by voice commands or by
touching them.

the other interface i saw (but not tested) featured a two
piece controller shaped like guns (only a gyroscope each
one) and i heard that holographic projection could be used
too with it but only via a separated projector box add-on
that was non shown that day.

by the way, i don't know which kind of controller has been
chosen or which features will be included and which not in
the final design, due to marketing reasons. maybe two
interface versions for different continental markets (i.e.
the cheaper one for countries such as india,china and
south-east asia) but this last one is only a personal
speculation.

Let me say that this is the best description from anyone who has ever supposedly known anything about the Revolution. Believe what you will. But this guy has a good thing going even if he is fake, but still, he might be real.

Hello,

As for the controller I don’t think it has been finalized but I have
seen and programmed for the official concept controller and used it
twice. It is very similar to the “nesvolution” one pad for each hand
with weighted gyroscopes and haptic feedback. At first glance it
seems kind of weird to think about tactically using it to control
certain types of games but once you pick it up its actually very
simple and easy to use with any game. I know Nintendo is still
working on a way to connect the two controllers at the players will,
probably through a magnetic lock system. As for the Nintendo On
which it WILL NOT be called once it is confirmed will present a
panoramic view to represent a full field on vision as we all have in
real life and will be in HD believe it or not. It will probably be
confirmed when the spec for the Rev. are made public and will be
launched a quarter year after Rev. launches. My only gripe is that
the On system at launch will retail for the same amount as the actual
Rev. system itself. It will not be a gaming machine unto itself but
merely an add-on to the Rev. to allow completely immersive
experiences.
Stereoscopic 3-D will also be a prevalent part of the interface but
coupled with the visor and controllers will allow something NEVER
seen before in gaming. The stereoscoping is still being tweaked to
turn whatever room your in into a the game environment effectively
rendering your room part of the game. Coupled with the visor this
could turn you entire home into a nightmarish landscape. The
projector alone with only be able to project a limited no. of NPC’s
into your environment at any given time depending on the size of the
NPC‘s. Take RE4 for example the projector could probably project
about 12 ganados at any given time into your environment but only one
El Gigante or boss at a time. When the visor is on though it will
allow the entire game to be presented in full virtual reality with no
sacrifices whatsoever, and with the environment capturing radar it
could effectively turn your own home into the game environment.
Imagine Resident Evil zombies busting through your doors and coming
after you with their blood and body parts being rendered onto your
environment in real-time as you fight them. That is an actual
possibility of the On visor.
The controller will be capable of everything past controllers were
but much more and the customization that you will have at your hands
is unprecedented. It will feature haptic feedback illustrating
through vibration whatever your on-screen character is doing or
feeling this represents mood, heartbeat, nervousness, adrenaline
rushes, tension, being shot or hit with something, jumping from a
high place, etc… This haptic force feedback will be mapped into
buttons and controller itself. Another controller feature is its
ability to heat up and cool down illustrating how the environment
temperature feels or it you are having to hold on to something that
is hot or cold. Coupled with this is the controller will have
built-in mic to talk to things or blow on things in the game to move
them or cool them down. The mic will also have voice distortion
features to work with the dev. Tool or chat online. The other big
feature of the controller is its ability to feel depth and reach out
and grab the world so to speak. For example instead of just pressing
a button to open a door you would point one of the control pad towards
the door twist the knob and pull the door open, or just kick it open
with another movement. This depth mapping allows all sorts of
actions to be preformed much more realistically and true to life for
example: swinging a sword, reloading or firing a weapon, picking
something up and turning it over, do melee combat with your own two
hands…etc.
An example I saw in action was a character was hanging from a ledge
MGS style and you would literally have to squeeze the handles to keep
from falling and you could also feel the haptic vibration from his
heart and the coolness of the ledge. This was a tech demo showing
all of the features working together. Of course all this will be
left up to the developer but they promise to be extraordinary
features. The projector will also have two options: Stereoscopic 3-D
or flat panel projection. This allows Rev. to be a portable system as
it can project the game on any wall or flat surface. The stand for
Rev. will be a recharger of sorts and will have the angle required to
be project Stereoscopic 3-D properly. The only reason for the
rechargeable battey is for the projection otherwise when you run out
of battery life you can just hook it up to a TV or computer monitor.
Alright I have to get back to work but I will keep you up to date as I
can please ask any questions you might have.

Could be real, or not. I'll write about this more later. I have to go but will be back in 4 1/2 hours at which point I will get to the bottom of this.

RevoGaming has apparently recieved 2 new Revolution Ads that they call authentic. I will quote what they said:

A source has revealed exclusively to RevoGaming images of what appears to be further Nintendo Revolution ad material. Details and images inside.

The images were revealed exclusively to RevoGaming by a source who wishes to remain anonymous. The first two ads echo the first revealed previously by RevoGaming, quoting a March 2006 revealing or launch and with images of a Revolution console and a screenshot of Metroid Prime 3. The third ad, however, makes reference to the infamous Nintendo ON video as well as quoting an August 2005 revealing. The August date mentioned is interesting as rumours regarding a new SpaceWorld to be held 2005 claim that August is the supposed date. Satoru Iwata also mentioned that more Revolution details would be uncovered before the end of the year.

Another interesting thing to note is that the Revolution image used in the first ad shown below is similar to the one used in some of the images that were revealed as rumour earlier.

1. This is the original touch controller from guys in Russia

2. Gameinformer in an issue earlier this year, they stated that there would be a touch-screen on the controller

3. Nin-Sider has posted today that there will not be a touch-screen but a screen that utilized haptic feedback technology

When the Revolution is revealed, there won't be any chance of Sony or Microsoft to imitate the idea. Microsoft will be too late either way, while the X360 is released or will shortly be released at the unveiling. Sony hasn't got the patents/partners/technology to implement it in time. So unless some insider leaks all the info within two months, they won't steal it ;)

I guess your not really an NOA guy ;) Well, there was that patent for some sort of gyration sensors in a 3d-world. However, this was pictured with a GBA and gamecube. But question yourself, is there a game which uses this? 3d movement through gyration control? Nope. Maybe the GBA/Cube set up is just used to show how it works. Think about it.

What would be interesting is if you could send your savegame of Super Mario Bros. 3 (SMB3), plus SMB3 itself (presuming you can save, unlike the original NES version) to your DS. You play a while and after that, you send your save state back to the revolution, where it will be saved. Would be cool and handy for households with one TV. Your parents want to see something? No problem, upload it to your DS and game on.

Where did they say that? The Revolution will be a home console. Otherwise Nintendo would have made a Revolution AND a home console. However, SE might be relating to the revolutionairy part. Which me seem 'completely new'. Third party support is going to be better than now on gamecube.

A microphone will be available, one of the last decisions is if it will be in the controller or not. My guess is it will be in. For text chat you could use your DS. You could also 'aim' for letters with the controller (gyration), but I don't know if that will be in. Might be some issues with that one.

The first poster is real. I guess this one will be printed in magazines, around Xbox launch. Why should March 2006 be a problem? Gamers will know what it's about if they see the Revo contours and the word 'revolution' in blue...
The controller will be easy, of course. All access gaming is possible because of the easy way of controlling games. It will be new, but think about it as the analog stick, which was new and easy to use.

Revdeveloper is fake. People, please, read the stuff they are saying... Look at these lines:
-Nintendo's Next-Gen console WILL be the most powerful console of all time.

There are more things that are fake, but these were made public by Nintendo. It won't be the most powerful console in terms of clockrates and such. The real controller is not 'leaked' yet, but some mock ups are pretty close

Can you elaborate more on the Capabilities of the Revolution Network Connection? Obviously it is to be quite potent potent in its capabilities to deliver a satsfying expierience but can we expect something that will compete with this generations X-Box live service? Also will the Revolution and the DS connection (we all know there is gonna be one) be utilized more by third party developers? It seemed that the GBA-GC connection was overlooked by many.

The cube-GBA connection wasn't too good. You'd have to buy the cable connecting both, you mostly had to buy both the cube and GBA version of a game, and so forth. The DS connection will be much better, especially because you can download DS demo's via Nintendo's online service. The service will be awesome. It starts up with the latest news and demo's, you can see if friends are online... Stuff like that. I don't know if third parties will use the connectivity. I guess the first party games will feature it a lot more.

I have an inside source who has sent me the following information, not word for word mind you.

- Spaceworld will be help on August 25th

- At Spaceworld, Nintendo will reveal the controller, release date, pricing, and complete launch lineup for the Revolution

- There are currently over 25 developers hard at work on developing amazing new games for the Revolution

- One of the titles is as follows

The working title hasn't been decided on yet, but the gameplay is amazing. It starts out as a typical adventure title, but a short while into the game, an as of yet undisclosed
item (which will most likely determine the game's title) will allow you to
travel back and forth through time, not by predetermined years, but by the
minutes, hours, seconds, days, months, and years that you choose.

Certain puzzles may be solved only by traveling back to a certain date and
time that a certain event occcured. For example, if a tree is blocking your
path, you will have to do research, and discover when and how the tree
collapsed, and return to the time before it happened, prevent it from
happening, and then return to your present time to pass that certain point

It is looking like Nin-Sider is back for a little while. He updated his site with the following:

Hi. So you say you are not Fake but most of the others are? So you cant say where you work or what you are doing. Why should we believe you? And what do you think about Osoko Tanaka? I mean: He is a Fake for sure. And you almost say the same things as aries. Why should you know so much things about the revolution games and all that, like the new Zelda for it?

Of course I can't say where I work. Ever heard of NDA's?
Wether Osoko is legit or not is not the point. The question is if what he says is true. And in some things he's pretty close. The problem is Osoko doesn't really lets loose any information. He just talks and talks... Without any content. So he's most probably fake indeed, or posting some crappy information on purpose. You make the choice here.
Then the question 'Why should we believe you?'. I don't know, honestly. If you don't want to believe me, please don't. And for the last answer; can't tell you, 'for obvious reasons'...
