"I remember hearing execs talk about the controller for REV being "surprising" and radically different.

This is a GC pad with a trackball. Note to idiot who drew this: We can still use the GC pads."

I agree. Also they said it would have less buttons. This guy is obviosly full of shit.

THIS WILL BE PETTY CLOSE TO THE CONTROLLER BUT BUTTONS REPLACED WITH HAPTIC-FEEDBACK TOUCHSCREEN

ALOT OF PPL SEEM TO FORGET THAT THE REVO SUPPORTS 4 GAMECUBE CONTROLLER AND WITH THAT YOU CAN PLAY N64,SNES,NES GAMES SO IT'S ONLY NATURAL FOR NINTENDO NOT TO STEER AWAY FROM GAMECUBE CONTOLLER CONFIGURATION BUT TO ADD OR MAKE BETTER LIKE A TRAK BALL

HYPE IS GOOD , BUT REALLITY IS THE CLOSER TO THE TRUTH

PS: SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS

What you anonymous just said was the stupidest thing I've ever heard. IT HAS PORTS FOR GCN CONTROLLERS BECAUSE IT'S SO DIFFERENT FROM THE GCN! This has two extra buttons, Nintendo has said its controller wouldn't have as many buttons as most systems. This is the only thing that makes sense: It has less buttons than the GCN controller, but as much as the N64 (joysticks instead of C buttons), thus it cannot play GCN games. If this were the controller you wouldn't need GCN controller ports.

U KNOW Anonymous #4 IT'S EASYER TO ASK SOMEONE WHAT THEY ARE TALKIN ABOUT BEFORE U CALL THEM STUPID. EMINEM SAYS "PPL THAT SAY MEAN THING'S, WEANY WILL SHRINK" SO STOP BEING MEAN OR YOU WON'T HAVE A WEANY.

ANYWAY WITH A PROGRAMABLE HAPTIC-FEEDBACK TOUCHSCREEN THE ONLY REAL BUTTONS LEFT
WILL BE SHOULDERS AND TRIGGERS (THATS 4 BUTTONS,1 D-PAD, 1 ANALOG, 1 TRACKBALL)EVERYTHING ELSE WILL BE PROGRAMABLE. ANALOG,D-PAD,AND TRACKBALL WOULD REMAIN FISICAL FORM BECAUSE IT WOULD BE STRANGE TO HAVE THESE ON A HAPTIC-FEEDBACK TOUCHSCREEN. THIS MEANS FEWER BUTTON CONFIGURATION FOR THE CASUALE GAMER OR XTREME BUTTON CONFIGURATION FOR THE HARD CORE, EVEN POSIBLY SIMPLE CONFIGURATION FOR KIDS.

REVOLUTIONARY PARTS OF THE CONTROLLER PROBLY: GYROSCOPES AND HAPTIC-FEEDBACK TOUCHSCREEN (WHICH IS CONFIGURABLE)

THINK ABOUT WHAT REGIE SAID HOW DEVELOPERS GOT EXITED WITH THIS MUCH CONFIGURATION
AND IWATA SAID FEWER BUTTONS AND STICKS

DON'T FORGET THE CONTOLLER IS NOT THE ONLY REVOLUTIONARY ASPECT OF THE SYSTEM. I'M EXPECTING SOME REALLY NICE EYE CANDY FROM THE REVO AND THAT MY FRIEND IS WHERE MY RIGHT BRIAN GOES WILD FOR REAL.I DON'T CARE IF IT'S VR, AR , STEREO 3-D , OR HOLOGRAMES ONE THING FOR SURE IT WILL MAKE US ALL SAY WOW.

SO YES CALL ME STUPID, BUT I'D RATHER BELIVE THE MORE APROCHABLE CONCEPT AND GET PROVED WRONG BY NINTENDO THAN TO GO THINK ABOUT SOME THING LIKE THIS

http://img198.imageshack.us/my.php?image=novintnintendorevolutioncontro.jpg
OR THE ON VIDEO

ALL I CAN SAY IS TO ALL YOU NINTENDO FANS DON'T GIVE INTO TOO MUCH HYPE OR YOU RISK A CHANCE OF EXPECTING TOO MUCH FROM NINTENDO. THE REVO IN MY MIND WILL BE AWSOME AND I WILL BUY IT FIRST THING WHEN IT HITS THE STORE

PS: SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS
